"The Massawa Trick Party"

By Mick McCombs

In early 1969, SSG Jerry Dobson's trick decided to have a trick party. In their wisdom, they decided to have it at the Four Floors of Whores down in Massawa. After the initial party most of the guys were upstairs and Dobson was sitting at the patio bar downstairs since he had to stick around. He had to stay because he was the senior trick member and
therefore responsible for the orderly conduct of the trick members.

In the middle of his beer, one of the girls started trying to get him upstairs, and when he wouldn't go and she got very disgruntled. After becoming belligerent there were words between her, Jerry and management. After a bit, the manager called the police and they ejected Jerry from the hotel. Just as he was evicted to the street, a guy named White came running up with the news that one of the guys had been hauled off to jail. Upon investigation Jerry found out that one of the girls had tried to up the price after the deed was done and when the guy wouldn't pay, she had called the police. What with one thing or another and Jerry being "In Charge" he got into it with the police. There were words, words, words and the police called the MP's who came and got them all. After much talk all the guys were released except Jerry who had to stay while the paperwork was completed (his write up).

When he got back to Kagnew he got an Article 15 and much hassle. The moral of this account is that if you are in charge of a bunch of Ditty Boppers at a party you might as well get real drunk and laid because your going to get screwed anyway.
